How Do I Apply for a Visa?

Nonimmigrant visas are issued to those who intend to enter the U.S. temporarily.  We process nonimmigrant visas for many different purposes, including but not limited to students, temporary workers, journalists, and religious leaders.  If your purpose of travel is other than business or pleasure, you will need to apply for a visa in the appropriate category.
