U.S. Consulate Dhahran Opens for Visa Services Starting May 3, 2008

February 18, 2008

The U.S. Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ford M. Fraker announced the commencement of visa services in Dhahran during the American National Day Celebration on February 18.  “I am extremely pleased we are opening visa services in Dhahran.  This action demonstrates the high value the United States places on our relationship with Saudi Arabia and the historical importance of the Eastern Province to American and Saudi friendship.  We expect that this step will facilitate business, tourism, and allow greater numbers of Saudi students to study in the United States.”

To apply for a visa in Dhahran, applicants first must complete an online application and then request an interview appointment date on-line at the Consulate General Dhahran website.  Visa interview appointments will be available in Dhahran starting May 3, 2008.

More information about appointments will be posted on the Consulate’s website in the near future. (Arabic)
